You overcome your paralysis and decide to act. The dragon bares its teeth in an expectant smile as you take several steps in its direction.

“Dragon!” you shout, with as much authority as you can muster. “You must listen to me. You must obey my order. Leave this city now and never return!”

You feel pride swelling within you. You’ve done it. You’ve taken charge.

Confidently, you glance around to see the faces of terrified strangers, all wondering what’s going to happen next.

You barely feel it when the dragon’s flames turn you to ash.
